TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- If you are looking to sign up for Health Insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace there is a new tool to help you find the best coverage.
The Kansas Association for the Medically Underserved (KAMU) developed the site that can assist Kansans in signing up for health insurance. The site, www.coverks.org replaces the site that was previously run by the Kansas Insurance Department, www.insureks.org.
“Enrolling in health insurance can be difficult and overwhelming,” said Debbie Berndsen, KAMU. “We believe the coverks.org website will help ease fears and stress by providing helpful information and by connecting Kansans to navigators that can help them through the process.”
The new site is a resource that will allow Kansans to learn more about insurance coverage and financial assistance that is available. It also features a find help section that allows users to find a Cover Kansas Navigator and search enrollment events in their area.
The open enrollment period begins Nov. 1 and runs through Jan. 31, 2016. Those in need of insurance can log on to the Health Insurance Marketplace at www.healthcare.gov.
